While taking into account the number of offerings by BMW at the Daytona Speedway International Race, one will be left astounded. BMW leads the way where entries are concerned and it is both GS and ST, BMW M3 and 328 that ruled the scene. This is the 50th anniversary of Rolex24 at Daytona and even though it was a rainy day it did not stop crowds enjoying the host of activities that were lined up both on and off the track.

The events commenced with a street parade of winning cars and one could see Bobby Rahal, Ron Fellows and Didier Theys driving down the track in vintage vehicles.  Cars were on display throughout the weekend while they took parade laps before Rolex24 on Saturday.

Besides the Grand Am Continental Tire Sport Car Challenge rage BMW Performance 200 and 41 other champions from the racing series gathered for a photo shoot and interviews. The Daytona Prototype champion team will receive $100,000 and the GT team will receive $50,000 as prize money.
