Improvement of the environment seems to be the need of the hour and auto companies and government agencies are doing all they can to create an awareness and bring out more such hybrid and electric cars into the world. Pushing for hybrid and electric vehicles seems to be the answer to the situation which is slowly getting out of hand.

CARB - California Air Resources Board is also holding a series of meetings to bring zero emission vehicles on to their streets. They have come out with a number of grants to be offered to auto companies to sponsor their fuel efficient technology.

Zero Emission vehicles program has been adopted with 2018 taken as the model year. The CARB wants to ensure that more and more such electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles are seen on their roads by 2015 and have put up a proposal to increase the market segment from 4% in 2015 to 15% in the future while also seeking to increase hydrogen stations across the country.
