Ford has unveiled the new Ford Fiesta RS World Rally Car along with its color theme which will take part in the 2012 FIA World rally Championships. These were unveiled by Mr. Malcolm Wilson Team Director of Ford World Rally Team along with Mr. Gerard Quinn, Motorsport Chief of Ford Europe at the Autosport International Racing Car Show held in Birmingham.
Castrol edge will continue as team sponsors and their name will be seen emblazoned on Fiesta RS World Rally car showcasing the company as the best where motor oils are concerned.
The new rally car will be a four wheel drive with 1.6 liter EcoBoost engine and will be based on Ford Fiesta road car which has seen increased demand in recent times. It will be driven by Jari MattiLatvala and Miikka Anttila who were winners during 2011 series and won final round championships at Rally GB last season as well. They will be partnered by Petter Solberg and Chris Patterson who have entered into an agreement with the company to drive the second Fiesta RS WRC for each of the 13 rounds.
