Hyundai India did unveil the Sonata Fluidic sedan which is set to compete with Honda Accord, Volkswagen Passat and Skoda Superb. Sonata Fluidic will have a 2.4 liter gas direct petrol engine and will be available in both manual and auto transmission. Pricing is competitive though a diesel variant would be more in demand.
More vehicles to be showcased at the 2012 Delhi Auto Show are the Hyundai Veloster hatchback and Elantra/Avante sedan. While the latter could be seen on Indian roads soon, the same cannot be said for the Hyundai Veloster hatchback, which will take some time to be launched. Visitors are advised to get a glimpse of the Hyundai Eon LPG.
The Hyundai Veloster hatchback is a three-door (one on the left, two on the right or in reverse order depending on the auto market) car that gets power from a direct-injection 1.6-liter engine in 3 variants, two petrol engines, a MPI unit and a GDI, and a diesel unit. The hatchback is offered with a choice of six-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic. The vehicles stands on 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with disc brakes. Other features include Bluetooth, LED headlight accents, and more.
You're also looking at a navigation and rear-view camera, alloy wheels, and sunroof. The Hyundai Veloster fits in as your typical cross over vehicle. The Hyundai Veloster would be positioned between station wagons and hatchbacks.
