Jeep Cherokee gets Chinese-inspired design concept at Beijing
A total of four new design concepts are up on display at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show from Jeep. These include the new Jeep Cherokee Sageland and Urbane, a premium luxury version of Jeep Wrangler called Jeep Wrangler Sundance and the Zi You Xia which is based on 2015 Jeep Renegade.
Jeep Cherokee Sageland is based on a design theme and color combination inspired by the historical landscape and natural sceneries found across the Shangri-La Region. It sports an exterior in Ivory Pearl while other exteriors such as roof rack, door mirror caps and exhaust tips are in Satin Bronze chrome thus giving the entire exterior or the Sageland a premium appeal.
Interiors are done up in earthy colors with light and grey Nappa leather seats and red and water blue accents. Seats receive stitching inspired by a traditional Chinese knot design while doors receive Chinese ornamental door knobs.
On display is also the Jeep Cherokee Urbane Design Concept which is seen in a Maximum Steel metallic exterior with Hyper Black accents sported on roof rails and door mirror caps besides grille collars and front and rear fascia. Interiors embrace the Chinese character where designs, colors and accents are concerned with extensive use of Chinese calligraphy with bold brush strokes while seats are done up in red Nappa leather with bright red accents and floor mats being inspired by traditional Chinese windows.
