2014 New York Motor show opens on April 16th, where the facelifted Nissan Versa sedan will be unveiled. Called Versa in US and Almera in South East Asia, Sunny sedan will be making its entry into India in July following its Indian debut at the 2014 Auto Expo in February. Speaking about the facelift, Nissan asserts that 2015 Sunny facelift receives minor changes where its external features while basic lines and proportions of the car will remain unchanged. Cabin gets redesigned while everything remains unchanged under its hood.
Karun Chandhok confirms his return to Le Mans 24 hours race for the 3rd time. He was the first Indian to drive at Le Mans 24 hours in 2012 and returns to the La Sarthe circuit in North of France on June 14-15 with Murphy Prototypes to race the LMP2 Nissan V8-powered Oreca 03. In 2013, the team faced an electrical issue that dropped them to second last place in the LMP2 category to finish in 6th position.
The agreement between Nissan Motors and their former sales and distribution partner Hover Automotive, ended on February 17, 2014. Two months after the partnership agreement between Nissan Motor India and Hover Automotive India terminated, Hover Automotive India is working towards wrapping up their operations and shutting down the business.

FY 2013-14 saw Nissan India sell 38,217 cars when compared with FY 2012-13, when the company sold 36,975 vehicles here. This accounts for 3% sales growth through FY 2013-14. While Nissan Terrano was only launched in Q4 of 2013, it packed in quite a punch becoming the biggest contributor to sales with 14,998 units sold between October 2013 – March 2014.
