Lykan Hypersport worth $3.4 million at 2013 Qatar Motor Show
W Motors introduced their Lykan Hypersport at the Qatar Motor Show held last week. The first super car of the Arab world, this vehicle will however be limited to only 7 units.
Priced at US$3.4 million (INR 18 crores), buyers of this prized vehicle are also scheduled to receive a $200,000 limited edition Cyrus Klepcy watches.
W Motors have announced that the Lykan Hypersport will be fitted with a twin turbo, flat six, mid rear engine offering 750 hp of power and 1000 Nm torque. This engine is most likely going to be sourced from Porsche. Lykan Hypersport will be able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 kmph) in 2.8 seconds and touch a top speed of 245 mph (395 kmph). It will sport the world’s first diamond coated LED lights while seats will be seen with gold stitching. A Virtual Holographic Display instrument panel will hog the limelight up ahead. The car has been in development for past six years and is the handiwork of noted companies such as RUF Automobile, Viotti, Studiotorino, Magna Steyr Italia and ID4MOTION.
2013 Qatar Motor Show was an ideal launch pad for this highly rated vehicle. Arabs love their fast cars and glitter and glamour and hence the decision, though the company has also received interest from both India and Moscow.
