Sound of Porsche Macan, teaser image before 2013 LA Auto Show debut
As the auto industry is gears up for the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, Porsche is getting set to debut their new Macan SUV. Last week they released a video of the Macan desert test. This week, they have released an audio of Macan’s exhaust note, a short audio file really, and it sounds good.
There’s also a teaser image that’s been shown. New Porsche Macan is based on the Volkswagen MLB (Modularer Längsbaukasten) platform while it is styled on the lines of the Cayenne.
Seen with a distinctive rear design with slimmer tail lamps and tailgate mounted spoiler while it will also be offered with LED headlamps. Interiors sport similar designs as seen in the Cayenne with a three spoke steering wheel and a similar dashboard design.
It is not yet ascertained as to what engine makes this sound. Macan is expected to be powered by V6 engines with a 3.6 liter V6 direct injection turbocharged petrol engine offering 395 bhp power. A diesel engined is also to be offered in the form of a 3.6 liter V6 diesel offering 295 bhp and a 3.0 liter V6 diesel offering 250 bhp, while a hybrid engine is also slated to make its way into the new Macan. Details will be clearer on a later date.
