Ever since Renault Alpine went out in the 1990s there were rumors of its resurrection. Now with the appointment of Mr. Carlos Tavares, General Director of Renault these rumors are about to become a reality.
This year completes 50 years for Alpine A110 and would hence be a good idea to do something spectacular to celebrate the Golden Anniversary said Mr. Laurens Van der Acker, Design Chief at Renault. One way to celebrate the event would be to bring out a new Alpine concept which will be in all likelihood on display at the Paris Motor Show. The concept will borrow some styles from the original Alpine A110 Berlinette and would also have the same rear engine configurations.
Whether the concept makes it to the Paris Motor Show or not needs to be seen as earlier the company had also said that they would be celebrating the 4CV's 50th anniversary though this car never even reached the concept stage.
