Tata Bolt Interiors revealed, hints at AMT in petrol variant
Tata Bolt and Zest are said to be capable of bringing Tata brand back to better life. Launch of Zest sedan is expected in August and Bolt hatchback in September. At 2014 Delhi Auto expo where both cars were showcased, Tata confirmed Zest diesel to feature AMT but no word about AMT in Bolt slipped.
Mention of City, Eco and Sports driving modes and caption ‘Sit back. Let the magic happen.’ certainly looks like Bolt will have AMT option. Further, seeing ‘Explore the all new Revotron 1.2T Engine’ on same picture does not help but think if petrol variant of Bolt would get the automated shifter.
That chapter aside, Tata has presented upcoming Bolt’s interior picture, with 2 tone plastic finish. Orange on black theme on dashboard would probably be seen on Bolt that comes in Ford EcoSport like orange exterior shade, which was spied earlier.
Expected to be feature rich than any previous Tata cars, as Bolt will feature state-of-the-art volume control that balances tempo with respect to vehicle’s speed, to keep volume and velocity in sync. Voice command system integrated to ICE device from Harman will allow voice dialling and controlling of music player options like volume and track switch. Smartphone integration to provide message read aloud facility and satellite navigation. Steering mounted controls and automatic climate control are also included in the feature bag of Tata Bolt.
