AMW 2528 TP low cost heavy duty tipper introduced at IMME 2012


Asia Motor Works (AMW), the Gujarat based commercial vehicle manufacturer has launched a new low cost heavy duty Tipper. AMW 2528 TP Tipper was also introduced at the 11th Indian Mining and Machinery Exhibition (IMME) 2012 being held at the Salt Lake in Kolkata from December 5th to 8th 2012.

AMW is India’s third largest manufacturer of heavy commercial vehicles and have launched the new 2528 TP Tipper in India catering specially to the mining, construction and infrastructure industries. Being low in cost is an added advantage which will help the company cater to the needs of smaller construction projects in the country.

This new Tipper is a heavy duty tipper capable of a host of applications. It is fitted with a fuel efficient Cummins CRDI engine, a nine speed gearbox, and a powerful drive line enabling the Tipper to undertake heavy duty applications.

Being offered with a short wheelbase and low turning radius enables better and more efficient turning while possessing 61% gradeability means that the Tipper is best in its class in tackling steeper gradients specially where the mining industry operations are concerned. Driver’s safety and comfort features are specially adhered to in the 2528 TP which is offered with AS fitments.

Last fiscal, AMW sold 10,000 trucks, registering a staggering growth rate of 60% in the Indian truck industry. This fiscal, they are on course to sell even more trucks. Their dealership network too has improved to 120 at present. They will be adding another 12 dealerships by the end of this fiscal.
