Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS spied, gets snazzy blue livery
Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS was unveiled at a dealer meeting in Turkey late last year and is believed to be gradually reaching dealerships in India. Based on the underpinnings of naked Pulsar 200 NS, the newest Pulsar borrows its body work from Pulsar 400 SS, which was unveiled at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.
The bike gets really upmarket appeal with twin projector headlamps, complementing LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), edgy bodywork, clip-on handlebars, split seats, stylish silencer can (Pulsar 200 NS features underbelly exhaust) and a unique two-piece taillight assembly. Fuel tank and speedometer are carried over from the fairing-less brother.
Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS gets same 199.5 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled triple-spark engine from 200 NS, that produces 23.52 PS max power @ 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm peak torque @ 8,000 rpm. The power is harnessed by a 6-speed gearbox.
It remains to be seen whether the motor will benefit from fuel injection technology which is available in Pulsar 200 NS in select export markets such as Turkey.
