True to its name, Honda’s Civic Black Edition receives all black, glossy elements to its exterior which include black mirror housings, black side skirts, roof mounted spoiler and Gunpowder Black 17” alloy wheels all of which combine together to ensure that this exclusive edition stands head and shoulders above competition. The only non black surface is its headlights.
Powering the new Civic Black Edition is a 1.6 liter i-DTEC diesel engine offering 120 HP and 200 Nm torque and a 1.8 liter i-VTEC offering 142 HP and 174 Nm torque. These engines are the same as those seen on the standard Civic and hence no change in power and performance are evident but the Civic Black Edition stands out due to its exterior refinement and appeal.
Insides of Civic Black edition is seen with black upholstery while interior features include air conditioning, magic folding seats, electric windows and electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors.
Besides this exciting all black offer on the Civic Black Edition, Honda is also presenting Black Edition of CR-V and Jazz Si at £329 (INR 32,900) and £189 (INR 18,900) per month respectively.
Civic Black Edition is not meant for India. Honda discontinued the Civic in India along with Accord and Jazz. While Jazz scheduled for a launch early in 2015, the other two are also rumoured to make a comeback by 2015/16.
