Honda Jazz India launch in March 2015

Honda Cars India has announced a new Jazz slated for launch in March 2015. This new hatchback has already made its presence felt in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, New Zealand and Australia where it has been well received.

Honda Jazz India launch in March 2015The new Jazz will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. Petrol engine will be a 1.2 liter four cylinder i-VTEC engine capable of 88 PS power and 109 Nm torque. Its diesel engine will be the same engine doing duty on the Amaze, City and Mobilio – 1.5 liter i-DTEC producing 100 PS power and 200 Nm torque. Honda Jazz could come in a price bracket of INR 5-7 lakhs and will compete in India with Maruti Swift, Hyundai Elite i20, VW Polo, Tata Bolt and Fiat Punto Evo.

2014 Honda Jazz in India will be based on the same platform as that of Honda City sedan. Though the previous Jazz was loved by customers, it was its high price tag which deterred it from getting more sales numbers. This time around, Honda India has attended that issue with extensive local procurement of parts.

Honda will reap huge benefit out of introducing a hot-hatch petrol variant of 1.5 ltrs and like its city vxcvt. That will be the hatch of India. Other ASian countries have this variant. Honda is underestimating indian driving enthusiasts.
