Honda CB Shine with ESP Stop-Start Technology will result in better performance and enhanced fuel efficiency. It is expected to be called CB Shine SP, with SP depicting its ‘Smart Power’. New Honda Shine SP will see no changes in engine specifications and continue to be powered by a 125cc engine offering 10.6 PS peak power and 10.54 Nm peak torque.
ESP Technology automatically shuts off the engine in case of idling and allows the user to instantly rev up the engine to move ahead. Honda CB Shine SP besides boasting of better performance and fuel efficiency will also see reduction in auto emissions. Visual upgrades will also be incorporated into its design in the form of new headlamp, fuel tank graphics and side panels while a new tail lamp will be added. In the mean time, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) claims at becoming the highest market share and volume gainer in April, 2015. Announcing its year on year sales figures, the company has reported a 9% increase in growth with 340,791 units sold in April 2015. Though the company reported lower motorcycle sales, scooter sales increased substantially by 15.95 percent from 1,70,589 units in April 2014 to 1,97,801 units in April 2015.
