Mercedes-Benz India reported 2014 Q1 sales of 2554 units equating to 27% sales growth over 2009 units in the corresponding period of 2013 January-March 2013. Mercedes-Benz India reports 2163 units sold in Q2 2014 over 1756 units sold in the April to June 2013 quarter, equating to 23% sales growth. For H1 2014, 4717 units were sold over 3758 units in Jan-June 2013, equating to 25% year-on-year growth.
Mercedes-Benz’s production facility expansion to 20,000 units is in its final stages. As the automaker transforms into the largest luxury car manufacturer here, it extends an enriching after-sales experience while strengthening network presence with 64 outlets in 36 cities.
New outlets were inaugurated in Bhubaneshwar, Raipur, Bhopal, Chandigarh and Mohali. 3 new AMG Performance Centres came into being in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. 8 new outlets are planned through Q3 and Q4. Alongside, launches are scheduled for the remainder of 2014, including GLA-Class. In all Mercedes- Benz is geared up for another year of strong growth.
