The Chinese auto market which was once at an high of 33% and 53% in 2010 and 2009 only climbed 5.3% during the first 11 months of this year. Mr. Dietmar Voggenreiter, President of Audi in China said the company aims at selling 1 million units, and is well on track to reach this target.
In the month of November, Audi sold 30000 cars in China and Hong Kong with total sales of 283,600 during the 11 months of 2011 which is a rise of 35.2%. Voggenreiter said that this was mainly due to low penetration of top end models which is expected to be seen through 2012 as well.
