FIAT Group Automobiles India Pvt. Ltd (FGAIPL) has undertaken a massive after sales initiative across India. FGAIPL will set up free summer check up camps at its exclusive dealerships across India that will start on 18th April 2014 and end on 20th April covering all the states. This move is in continuation with FIAT’s strategy to reach out to a wide base of FIAT customers located across India and reiterate its commitment to the Indian market.
India’s top car manufacturers list for FY 2013/14 unsurprisingly sees Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai Motor India at top two respectively, and dramatic change in rest 3 positions which is also not a surprise. The list includes Mahindra, Tata and Honda, by overall sales volume in fiscal 2013-14. The next two are Toyota and Ford.
New face lifted Linea is first of four launches in India Fiat has planned for 2014, all of which debuted at Delhi Auto Expo earlier this year. First unveiled at the 2000 Paris Motor Show, the latest generation of Fiat Doblo van has been caught testing in India. Spotted testing in Pune, near Fiat India’s Ranjangaon plant, the new Doblo MPV is offered in both 5 and 7 seater options.
Fiat India has confirmed that they will launch 4 new cars this year. With new facelifted Linea already out, next three to be launched are Punto Facelift, Avventura, and Abarth 500, in that order. First to be launched is Punto facelift in June 2014, which will be followed by Avventura in August 2014. Last will be Abarth 500, which will be launched by December 2014.
Fiat India rolled out its 300,000th car from its state-of-the-art Ranjangaon plant in Pune. Fiat India Automobiles Ltd (FIAL), a JV between Fiat S.p.A and Tata Motors also produces and supplies petrol and diesel engines Maruti Suzuki and TATA Motors in India.
