BMW will publicly unveil the new Z4 sports coupe at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show in Jan 2013. The new 2014 Z4 is scheduled to arrive in dealerships by spring of 2013 where it will be seen with a bright Hyper Orange package in place of an earlier Citrus Yellow package, interior trims and 18” wheel design. Based on Z4 ConnectedDrive system, the vehicle will sport High Beam Assistance, Park Distance Control and a host of navigation, infotainment and entertainment features.
The new Hyper orange package can be ordered in three new color options of Mineral Gray metallic, Glacier Silver metallic and Valencia Orange metallic. Interiors of 2014 BMW Z4 will sport Fineline Anthracite wood trims, Kansas leather trims and a black and orange theme in the cabin to match its exteriors.
Engine options and models will be same as its earlier counterpart with a 240 hp 2.0 liter four cylinder turbocharged sDrive 28i engine, a 300 hp six cylinder turbo sDrive 35i engine and a 335 hp turbo six sDrive 35i. The sDrive 35is will be available mated to a seven speed DCT dual clutch transmission while sDrive 28i will be mated to a six speed manual or eight speed automatic.
Upcoming Z4 can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 221 kmph. Fuel consumption is pegged at 6.8 liters per 100 km. Pricing will be announced closer to launch dates.
