BMW 7 Series facelift arrives in Malaysia: India launch by April 2013
The all new India bound 7 Series facelift, BMW‘s epitome of luxury, was launched in Malaysia by Tennis star Caroline Wozniacki at the Royal Selangor Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. Prices range from RM649k-939k or INR 1.13 crores to INR 1.64 crores.
On the exterior, the 7 Series facelift carries, new LED headlamp clusters, side indicators integrated into the side-view mirrors, 9 slat kidney grille, chrome strip between the taillights, and redesigned bumper apron. The new 7er is also sportier as the height is reduced by 8 mm. On the inside, you will find 9.2-inch flat screen displays each for rear passengers, Bang & Olufsen music system with 16 speakers (only in hybrid). Top of the line 7er facelift does 0-100 kmph in just 5.7 seconds.
BMW India had confirmed last year that they will be launching the new 7 Series for car buyers in India by April 2013. They also announced to commence local production of the same from their facility in Chennai, which might offer some respite in pricing, as the budget 2013 stated: import duty on completely built cars will go up from 75% to 100%.
