It will take only dare devils to venture into this parking lot as lava flows down from the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland. Drivers venturing to take this risk spent 3 hours approaching the spot and even exited from their vehicles so as to get a closer look at their surroundings.

This is not a dormant volcano we are talking about but one that has erupted just a few years back in 2010 when it caused rampant interference to rail travel in western and northern Europe. The volcano is capable of spewing 1200?C of molten lava and could be looked upon as the most dangerous car park in the world.

Cars lined up all across the flowing lava and images were caught on camera by Kristjan Freyrrastarson as drivers with a devil may care attitude, parked their 4x4s in the pathway of lava as it streamed down the slopes of Eyjafjallajökull. These photos were put online and caused quite a stir receiving over 300,000 hits.
