A successful platform and engine has helped highlight the fact what one desirable car can do for a company. With a launch scheduled in April 2013, Honda Amaze lapped up healthy bookings of 2552 units in march itself. Honda Amaze diesel engine will now be seen in their new City sedan with a launch scheduled for 7th January, 2014
From then on, Amaze has raked in a healthy average of 6606 cars sold for every month April through December 2013. Monthly Honda Amaze sales volume is as follows for 2013. April 4852 units, May 6036 units, June 4965 units, July 6515 units, August 6242 units, September 6679 units, October 9564 units, November 7598 units, and December 4458 units. In all, 59461 honda Amaze sedans have been sold in 2013. Fuel efficiency and demand for diesel has ensured this boost. With 107,661 cars sold by HCIL through 2013, Honda Amaze sedans account for 55.22% of the company’s sales in India for 2013.
Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President – Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd., said, “Year 2013 has been very good year for HCIL business as we crossed one lakh units domestic sales for the first time in a calendar year with a total sales volume of 107,661 units during Jan – Dec 2013. The all-new Honda City has received an overwhelming response after its global preview in November 2013.We are looking forward to the launch of the New City and expect to continue with the growth momentum to continue in the New Year.”
