We are thus continuing our all-wheel drive and model offensive on our largest single market, the U.S.,” says Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
Vehicle weight is reduced by 65 kilograms thanks to a lightweight design. New S 63 AMG Coupe comes equipped with a more extensive standard equipment package than what was on offer in the earlier model. Based on variant, S 63 AMG Coupé accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. Top speed is pegged at 250 km/h (electronically limited).

New 430 kW (585 hp) high-performance unit from the BlueDIRECT engine family generates 30 kW (41 hp) more power. Max torque is increased by 100 to 900 Nm making it the most fuel-efficient model in its class. S 63 AMG Coupe with RWD uses AMG sports suspension based on MAGIC BODY CONTROL with the world’s first curve tilting function so the car leans into a bend as a motorcycle rider or skier does. This reduces lateral acceleration exerted on occupants and offers more comfort and driving fun during high-speed cornering on country roads.
