It appears Mercedes Benz is changing names of Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV) and Crossovers in order to make their position in market clear. Current nomenclature does not help everyone understand without acquaintance, the segment each Merc SUV falls into.
Mitsubishiâ€™s Lancer and Montero have already been discontinued in India. Their only car which is now on sale in India is the Pajero SUV. At the 2014 Moscow International Auto Show, Mitsubishi unveiled 2015 model year facelift of Pajero SUV, which is also expected to be launched in India by next year.

Tata Motors marks its entry into Algeria with a host of products in the passenger segment. The company has appointed SPA Elsecom for distribution and marketing of passenger vehicles in the country and will introduce the Tata Indica and Vista along with Indigo and Manza in the hatchback and sedan range respectively.
Fiat Avventura is expected to be launched in September this year. Projected as a Contemporary Urban Vehicle, the new Avventura made its debut as a concept at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. Based on the Punto Evo platform, Avventura will only be offered in a 90 hp diesel and petrol variants.
First unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, the new 2015 BMW X3 SUV makes its way to India at a starting price of Rs 44.90 lakhs. Set to compete with the likes of Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, and Mercedes ML Class, new X3 comes with only one engine option and two trims.
