KTM 1290 Super Duke GT detailed ahead of 2015 EICMA debut

Photos, engine details and other electronics on board the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT have been revealed.

Set to officially launch at 2015 EICMA Motor Show, KTM 1290 Super Duke GT has been detailed officially. The bike can be seen here in camouflaged photos with frame and sub-frame in orange and black.

Sporting a more upright riding position, taller front screen and sturdier sub frame, KTM 1290 will sport same 180 bhp engine as seen on normal Super Duke while conforming to Euro 4 restrictions and increased fuel efficiency.

The 1301 cc V Twin on board the KTM Duke 1290 GT is said to have received new cylinder heads.

Where tech specs on board KTM 1290 Super Duke GT, which will be offered in the three classic modes, Sport, Street and Rain are concerned, Motorcycle Stability Control from Bosch, semi active suspension and cornering ABS system will be evident. Hill Hold Control will also be a part of its technical features which will assist the rider during start and uphill riding.

A system called Motor Slip Regulation (MSR) which improves engine braking when climbing will also be making its way to the new KTM along with cruise control, heated grips and quick shift facilities also forming a part of its makeup.

Fuel tank capacity of KTM 1290 Super Duke GT also increases, while seat and rear sub-frame offer better comforts especially for long distance travel.
