A set of official images of the Maruti Vitara Brezza compact SUV has been leaked by Team-bhp ahead of its world premiere on February 3 at the Auto Expo 2016. The Vitara Brezza is the first product to have been developed fully by Maruti Suzuki in India.
Complying with the sub-4 metre norm, the Ford EcoSport rival derives its basic shape from the bigger European Vitara. The front fascia is characterized by simple headlamps, H-shaped grille element and a prominent bumper with trapezoidal air dam, silver skid plate, LED daytime running lights and circular fog lamps.
The contrast roof and ORVMs in the top-end variant render a sporty appeal to the Vitara Brezza. The car’s flat rooline and high waistline help the stance. We expect the rear fascia to be composed of angular taillights, chrome strip and a bumper with silver skid plate.
Closely related to the Swift as far as underpinnings are concerned, the Vitara Brezza will be available only with the 1.3-litre DDiS (Fiat MultiJet) diesel engine. The motor’s final state of tune is yet to be confirmed. While a manual transmission will be a standard option, we could see an optional AMT.

The Maruti Vitara Brezza will be available in four variants – LDi, VDi, ZDi and ZDi+. Dual front airbags and ABS with EBD will be standard across the range. We expect the car to undercut its primary rivals significantly in terms of pricing.
