Mercedes-Benz received a major order in a tendering process run by Warsaw public transport company Miejskie Zak?ady Autobusowe Sp. z o.o. (MZA). MZA as part of an ongoing plan to upgrade its vehicle fleet will be launching 60 Mercedes Benz Conecto buses in Warsaw. These buses meet stringent safety and severe environmental standards and have been a favorite among bus operators in countries of Istanbul, Bucharest and Szeged where they are already in operation.
Now set to enter Warsaw for the first time Mercedes Benz will be supplying 60 such buses to add to the present fleet of vehicles. Mercedes Benz Conecto articulated buses have a distinct red and yellow livery and are produced at the company bus plant in Hosdere, Turkey. The entire consignment will be completed by 20th December 2012. These buses are 18 meter long low floor buses with a 160 passenger capacity. The buses have four doors making entry and exit convenient.
Seating is comfortable, grab poles and handles are painted in bright signal yellow while seat fabric is in brilliant red. Display monitors update customers on news, traffic information, routes and stopping points while passengers can also use the onboard WiFi free of charge. Maintenance is low, repair costs are negligible while performance, reliability and extended life are its plus points, while engines meet the Enhanced Environmentally Friendly Vehicles emission standards.
