Buick Achievers Scholarship registrations from 7th January


In it’s 3rd year now, 1,100 scholarships will by granted by General Motors Foundation and Buick. 2013 scholarship applications begin on 7th January and will continue until 28th February, 2013. Started in 2011, Buick Achievers Scholarship Program has awarded about $12 million. Elligible students from the United States and Puerto Rico can apply.

General Motors Foundation buick scholarshipsRegistrations for Buick Achievers Scholarship program which is sponsored by General Motors Foundation will begin from the 7th of January to 28th of February2013. These scholarships help students who perform well both academically and take part in extra curricular activities. Most students applying for these scholarships are pursuing degrees in IT, design, engineering and business pertaining to the current auto industry.

This will be the third year where 1,100 scholarships will be handed out to deserving students. Through the program, about 100 students pursuing high school or undergraduate course will be selected to receive scholarships totaling $25,000 a year which can be renewed for up to 4 to 5 years depending on the engineering courses being pursued.

Apart from these students, 1000 students receive a one time scholarship amount of $2000 which will help to change their lives and at the same time make it affordable for them to realize their dreams. The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program has helped changed lives of many children who include sons and daughters of army veterans as also deserving students from over the 50 states.
