Tata Motors is well represented at the ongoing SIAM International Bus & Utility Vehicle Show being held at Greater Noida Expo Mart. This Greater Noida Expo Mart is the proposed site for 2014 India Auto Expo and hence this Utility Show is a sort of trial run ahead of the big event. Tata Motors have an exciting new lineup at the show and these include luxury intercity coaches, staff buses, semi deluxe buses, school buses, ambulances and the likes.
Besides a 45 seater intercity coach and a 41 seater staff bus, the company is also displaying the Tata Divo Coach which was recently launched and ideally beneficial to intercity passenger transport and tourist facilities. The body of this coach is designed from Hispano Carrocera of Spain. It is built on international standards and looked upon as a high performance long distance coach. The vehicle possesses personalized AC and reading lights, all the comforts where width of seats and reclining facilities are concerned besides an entertainment system that includes DVD and 2 LCD screens, an on board refrigerator and mobile charging points.
Tata Divo is BS III compliant and possesses a 285 hp Cummins engine mated to a 6 speed overdrive gearbox offering enhanced fuel efficiency. Tata Motor Semi non AC Starbus Ultra Contract Bus is a 36 seater with luxury seating and a broad gangway. It is ideally suited for corporate transportation and as a tourist vehicle. Comfortable seating, separate driver enclosure, rear luggage compartment and green tinted glasses are its plus points. Tata Ultra 56 seater School bus is another new offering from Tata Motors along with a Tata Venture Ambulance, Tata Safari Storme Tata Sumo Gold and the new Tata Aria which are all on display at the venue.
